I have selected these images as works which I feel currently reflect my areas of interest and expertise. The structure of my work embraces a variety of subject matter from found objects to landscapes. I endeavour to bring to the image the intrinsic qualities of a subject and its narrative as I interpret it.
My approach to my image making is very hands on. I develop ideas, paint or draw backgrounds, source props and construct sets. Each image is carefully crafted over time, sometimes being shot progressively. I prefer to construct the image as closely to it’s final result as I can within the camera, then utilise photoshop as my digital darkroom.
