Maria won the Editorial Illustrative Category in the 2008 *nzipp Professional Photography awards. She was also runner up for the award for New Zealand’s Professional Photographer

of the Year.

“The winner will be selected by a jury from three photographers portfolios with the highest aggregate scores from across any category with a set of six prints.”

Maria is a multi talented award winning photographer she is highly regarded within her field.

She is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography with

7 additional Gold Bars and Master of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.

She has lectured within New Zealand and Australia and conducted several workshops. Maria enjoys sharing her work and inspiration.

“My husband Steve and my son Dylan, stepson’s Nick, Chris and Mike have been a constant source of support and inspiration. We enjoy collecting things and the cupboards in my studio have a hoard of treasures waiting to become beautiful images. We will wander the sand dunes and collect items exposed and weathered by the wind. Bones, driftwood, bottles, keys and jandals which I then carefully construct them into still life images.”

Maria is based in Wellington, New Zealand.
